Adding a Lighthouse to Anchor Bay

We see a lighthouse on a spit of land in the far distance, the wvening sky is gllomy with clouds and wthere a ripples on the lake water between us and the lighthouse.

One night a few years ago, we had supper at a restaurant (On the Rocks Smokehouse &Tiki Bar) that overlooked Anchor Bay on the north side of Lake St. Clair. The cloudy sky was so gorgeous that I spent about ten minutes take pictures of the bay before we went inside. I did some for a panorama and lots of singles as the light changed while the hidden sun was descending.

I had used several image in the series to demonstrate quick raw processing in Bridge, so when a PixelSquid lighthouse was a PFCC Starter image, I though that Anchor Bay would be a great place to “build” it. There are already three lighthouses on Lake St. Clair, but are so far from shore that you need a boat, or powerful binoculars to see them. I did make the original image more gloomy than it really was, so the lighthouse beams would be more visible.

    Take care and stay well.
